Our most important Watawat is our national flag. The white triangle stands for equality. Blue stands for truth, peace, and justice. Red stands for bravery and patriotism. The 3 stars symbolize Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, our three largest islands. The sun's rays symbolize the first 8 provinces that defended the country from the invasion of Spain.
If our country is at peace, the blue stripe is on top. If our country is at war, the red stripe is on top. |
