Payo (payew) is the name locals use to refer to the 1995 declared UNESCO Heritage site: the Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras. It is found in northern Philippines located in the municipalities of Kiangan, Banaue, Hungduan, and Mayoyao in Ifugao province. It looks like stairways going to heaven. It was constructed by the Ifugaos some 2,000 years ago and was built entirely by hands.
