(Editor) This compendium of selected papers from the 18th Manila Studies Conference, held at the NCCA on August 2009 captures in essence the gist of the conference, which is to present aspects of Manila’s history and culture from different perspectives, provide a forum for discussion and lay the groundwork for further studies on subjects previously unexplored. The topics cover the areas of archeology, music, history, architecture, heritage conservation, art studies and journalism and are authored by personalities who have conducted research from the vantage point of their own respective disciplines.

Volume LV January – December 2009 Bernardita Reyes Churchill (Editor) The papers in this volume are selected papers from the 29th National Conference on Local and National History held in October 2008 in Banaue, Ifugao Province. The theme was "Philippine Ethnohistories:The Luzon Cordillera and Beyond," and studies on the Cordillera and Northern Luzon, as well as papers on other regions in the Philippines were presented.

Borrinaga (Issue Editors) This volume contains selected papers presented at the 20th National Conference on Local and National History of the Philippine National Historical Society (PNHS) held at the UP Baguio on October 1999. The theme was "History and the New Millennium: Northern Luzon in Perspective." The papers included are mostly about Northern Luzon, which encompasses the geographically and ethnically distinct regions of the Ilocos, the Cordillera, and the Cagayan Valley. Each of these papers is an original research, some of which are preliminary work on various concerns and the themes in Philippine historical writing.
